A large beautiful beach just north of the city. You can drive there or, even better, take the Ipswich/Essex explorer. It's an inexpensive and energy efficient way to explore Ipswich during the Summer (leaves from North Station). For times, schedules and fares for the shuttle, click here.

A lovely 100+ acre farm right on the way to Cranes Beach up in Ipswich. Winery, bakery, on site as well. Very different depending on weekday or weekends.
Weekdays: Go the store to buy an empty peck size bag (10 lbs) for $12.50. With peck bag in hand, you will walk out to the designated ripe picking area and fill your bag.
Weekends: Come to the main store area of the farm and head towards the playground where you will be taken out to the picking site on a tractor-drawn HAYRIDE! There is NO WALKING IN OR OUT.
